The Dignity Challenge was launched in November 2006 by the Care Services Minister, Ivan Lewis following a number of listening events and an on line survey that explored what dignity meant to older people.
From this we have developed and successfully run a number of outcome orientated Dignity workshops. These are designed to help a broad range of participants become more aware of Dignity within their workplace and how to improve the experience of patients. The workshops help provide a lever for change and encourage the development of a personal action plan.
Additionally, we are able to assess an organisations position against each of the ten Dignity Challenges using our audit tool.
