Older Peoples Service

Working for Older People at HASCAS

At HASCAS we are able to offer support to a wide range of organisations seeking to improve services for older people across the health and social care. These organisations include:

We are able to support organisations in the following ways:

How do we do it?

Our aim is to make a positive difference to the lives of the people who are served by the organisations with whom we work. Listening to users and carers is central to our approach and effective consultation informs most of the work we do.

Organisations often do not have management expertise, knowledge, experience and understanding of the cultural differences between professions and agencies. HASCAS brings proven ability to engage staff. We can help raise issues that may otherwise be overlooked because of competing priorities. We work with a large range of experienced associates who are recruited from Health and Social Care.

Partnership working is essential within older people's services and we are keen to engage all stakeholders when we support organisations in strategic development.

Action planning with measurable outcomes is central to our approach and we see strategic development as a dynamic process

As an evidence-based organisation all of our work is informed by the most recent research and national best practice.

Reviewing services against standards developed in consultation with service users and carers can help agencies benchmark themselves and identify priority areas for action. HASCAS has a successful and proven track record in the area of standards development for both specialist and mainstream services.

Workforce analysis and skill mix recommendations form a key part of our team development and workforce planning activities.
